Warhammer 40.000 Conquest: Iniciamos el reto

Como la gran mayoría de los aficionados al hobby, he caído en las garras de Salvat y Games Workshop y me he comprado el primer fascículo de su colección. No solamente eso: tal y como me planteé en esta entrada anterior, voy a intentar hacer la colección entera para forzarme a retomar los hábitos con los pinceles.

Hey there! Like the most part of the Games Workshop's fans, I have felt down in its hands and I have bought the first issue of Warhammer 40k collection. Not only that: as I said before, I'm going to try doing the whole collection to take again the painting habits that I have lost.

Bueno, muy bien: tendré un ejercito de marines, ¿pero de qué capítulo serán? Esta primera entrega me ha servido para poner en práctica los esquemas de los capítulos que tenía en mente... Y necesito que me déis vuestra opinión:

Ok, so I'll have a Space Marines army, buy wich chaptes am I going to collect? This first issue has been used to put in practice the colour schemes that I had in mind... And I need your opinion:

Primero tenemos al Sargento Vázquez, de los Puños Carmesíes. Siempre me ha fascinado la historia de este capítulo: una fuerza en reconstrucción por haber sufrido graves bajas en su mundo natal que fue destruido. Eso les hacía candidatos perfectos para recibir los nuevos marines Primaris, además de ser uno de los Capítulos icónicos del 41 Milenio. Sin embargo tendría que trabajar más el emblema del capítulo, y creo que es el menos vistoso de los tres... ¿Qué opináis?

First we have Sergent Vázquez, from de Crimson Fists. I have always loved the story of this chapter: a force in reconstruction due to the horrible cassualties suffered during the descruction of his home world. This fact made this chapter perfect to recieve the new Primaris Space Marines, and an oportunity to collect one of the most iconic chapters in the 41st Millenium. But I should work harder on the chapter symbol, and I think it's the least showy of the three... What do you think?

En segundo lugar tenemos al hermano Ogodei, de los Cicatrices Blancas. Este es uno de mis capítulos favoritos, tanto por los colores, como por la organización y la inspiración: mongoles espaciales! ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Cierto es que la colección no te ofrece muchas motos, pero no es algo que me preocupe ahora mismo.

Then we have brother Ogodei, from the White Scars. This is one of my favorite chapters because of the colours, but also for its organisation and the inspiration: space mongols! What else? It's true than the collection doesen't offer many motorbikes, but I'm not concerned about that.

Y por último tenemos al hermano Corban, de los Centinelas Eternos. Es un capítulo de invención propia, basado en el capítulo de los Intercesores de Keyan Sark. Según el nuevo trasfondo, se trata de una fuerza de combate nómada desplegada en la zona oscura de la galaxia, denominada Imperium Nihilus, y que debido a la fran fisura de la disformidad, ha quedado privada de la luz psíquica del Emperador. Es por ello que se trata de una fuerza de combate rápida, capaz de repeler cualquier ataque externo (xenos o del Caos), como sofocar y reprimir cualquier injusta rebelión en los planetas aislados. Es un esquema muy rápido de aplicar, y que no me desagrada para nada:

And last we have brother Corban, from the Eternal Centinels. It's a Chapter of my own invention, based on Keyan Sark's Intercessors. According to the new background, this Chapter is a nomad combat force deployed on the dark zone of the galaxy, named Imperium Nihilus: due to a frankness of the warp, has no psichic light of the Emperor. This is why this is a fast force, able to repel any external attack (chaotic or xenos), but also supress any unfair rebelion in the isolated planets. It's a fast scheme color, and I like how it works:

Partida de Mordheim: No-Muertos vs Mariemburgo

¡Saludos a todos!

Esta semana he tenido a un viejo amigo en la ciudad, y ha querido rememorar viejos tiempos haciendo una partida de Mordheim. ¿Y quién soy yo para negarle caprichos como éste? Así que nos juntamos en mi nuevo piso para jugar una partida en la Ciudad de los Condenados.

Hey there! This week an old friend has come back to my town, and wanted to play Mordheim again. And who am I to deny him wishes like this one? So we met together in my apartment to play a game in the City of de Damned.

Mi amigo quería llevar sus amados Marienburgueses, así que presentó la siguiente lista:

My friend wanted to play with his loved Marienburgers, so he built this band:

• Capitán con pistolas de duelo, casco, cuerda y daga. Captain with dueling pistols, helmet, rope and dagger.
• 2 Campeones con espada, pistola y daga. 2 Champions with sword, pistol and dagger.
• 2 Reclutas con 2 mazas y daga. 2 Recruits with 2 clubs and dagger.
• 3 Tiradores con maza, daga y arco. 3 Archers with mace, dagger and bow.
• 3 Espadachines con espada, maza y daga. 3 Duelists with sword, mace and dagger.
• 3 Guerreros con 2 mazas y daga. 3 Warriors with 2 clubs and dagger.

Por mi parte, y como no tenía mucho tiempo ni miniaturas disponibles, opté por los No-Muertos:

As I didn't have much time and miniatures to use, y decided to play with the Undead:

• Vampiro con espada, maza y arco. Vampire with sword, mace and bow.
• 4 Lobos espectrales. 4 Dire wolves.
• 4 Necrófagos (véis necrófagos, no zombis, ¿de acuerdo?). 4 ghouls (you're looking ghouls, not zombies, ok?)

Tiramos los dados para escoger escenario y nos tocó el 8: ¡No pasaréis! En el que la banda atacante gana si logra colocar al menos dos miniaturas en la zona de despliegue del defensor, y este debe impedirlo a toda costa. Así que decidimos que los No-muertos serían atacantes y los Mariemburgueses los defensores y dispusimos la mesa.

We rolled the dices to chose the stage and we had the 8 one: You shall not pass! In wich the attacking band wins if can put at least two miniatures in the deployment area of the defender, and this one has to avoid this at all costs. So we decided that the Undead will be the attackers and the Mariemburguers the defenders, and we prepared the table.

Los primeros turnos fueron de mera aproximación de las dos fuerzas: mientras que los Despojos No-muertos se escabullían por las calles laterales, los Recaudadores de Seren "el Monedas" se hacían con el centro del tablero.

The first turns were of mere approximation of the two forces: while the undead Spoils slipped down the side streets, the Seren's Renegade Collectors were made with the center of the board.

La táctica de los dos bandos pronto se hizo evidente: mientras los No-muertos buscaban rodear el enemigo para llegar a su zona de despliegue, los Mariemburgueses intentarían aprovechar su superioridad numérica para causar el máximo de bajas y forzar la retirada.

The plan of both sides soon became clear: The Undead would surround the enemy seeking his deployment zone, meanwhile the Marienburgers would use his numeric superiority to cause the maximum casualties and force the retreat.

 

Pero no era el día de los Recaudadores: fallaron prácticamente todos los disparos y los chequeos de iniciativa y liderazgo, por lo que no pudieron impedir el avance No-muerto en ambos lados del tablero.

But it was not the day of the Collectors: they failed almost all the shoots and the leadership and iniciative checks, so they couldn't avoid the undead advance in both sides of the table.

Eso dejó vía libre a la mitad de la banda de los Despojos, que se hicieron con el objetivo y la victoria.

That left freeway to the Spoils, that reached the objective and the victory.

Una partida muy tactica y quizás con poca sangre: si volvemos a jugarlo ambos jugadores serán atacantes para forzar más combates. ¡Pero muy entretenida! Siempre es un placer jugar a Mordheim.

It was a very tactical game, with not much blood: if we play this stage again the two players will be atackers to have more fights. Very funny anyway: it's always a pleasure playing Mordheim.

Orcos de Moria y 2019

¡Saludos a todos!

2018 no será el año que más miniaturas he pintado. De hecho aproveché los días de Navidad para pintar estos orcos de Moria y así maquillar mis pobres estadísticas.

Hey there! 2018 won't be the year that I've painted lots of miniatures. In fact I took a pair of Christmas days to paint these Moria's Orks, in order to improve my poor statístics.

Estos orcos siempre me han gustado: creo que son los villanos perfectos para cualquier historia que podamos inventar. Si a eso le sumamos que estas miniaturas llevaban 15 años guardadas y que necesitaba algo con lo que practicar la pintura en cadena no necesitaba más excusas para ponerme con ellas. Está claro que no ganarán ningún concurso de pintura, pero sobre el tablero cumplirán sobradamente, que es lo que buscaba. 

I always liked these orks: I think they fit perfectly as minions in any story we can invent. And moreover, this miniatures have been unpainted for 15 years and I needed to practice the "speed painting", so I didn't need more excuses to paint them. They won't win any painting contest, but I think they'll fit well on the table.

¿Y en 2019? Bueno, espero llegar a superar de nuevo las 50 miniaturas pintadas, que hace 2 años que no lo consigo. Para ello tengo unos cuantos proyectos en mente:

- Warhammer 40k Conquest: mi primer contacto serio con el 40k. Si sigo adelante será obligándome a pintar semanalmente lo que venga en los fascículos. Así que el speed painting será obligatorio. 

- Terminar mi destacamento de Condes Vampiro de Warhammer Fantasy.

- Terminar mi banda de Poseídos para Mordheim.
- Conseguir mi propia banda de Warhammer Underworlds.

- ¡Más civiles imperiales! Quién sabe si con la excusa de probar las fuerzas de Warhammer 40k Conquest van a tener por fin un papel en la mesa.

- Empezar a pintar mi Heroquest 25 Aniversario. XD Estaba bromeando... Sigh...

And 2019? Well, I hope to paint more than 50 miniatures, a number that I haven't achieved during 2 years. I have some projects to do it:

- Warhammer 40k Conquest: my first serious contact with the 40k game. If I do it, I'll have to paint every issue during that week. So speed painting, here we go...

- Finish my Vampire Counts force for Warhammer Fantasy

- Finish my Possessed band for Mordheim.
- Take my own band of Warhammer Underworlds.

- More 40k civilians! Who knows if they'll have finally a paper on the table with Warhammer 40k Conquest.

- Start painting my Heroquest 25st aniversary. XD Just kidding... Sigh...

Warhammer Underworlds: Saqueadores de Garrek

¡Feliz año nuevo a todos! Hoy os presento la segunda banda de la caja de Warhammer Underworlds: los Saqueadores de Garrek:

Happy new year! Today I want to show you the second band of the Warhammer Underworld's box: Garrek's Reavers:

Como mi amigo no tiene pinturas en la ciudad donde trabaja, es una banda que hemos pintado entre los dos en mi casa. Así, él se encargó de los 3 primeros y yo de los dos últimos. 

My friend has no paints in the city where he lives, so we have painted the band toguether. He painted the first three and I painted the other ones:

¡Y esta es la banda! Ahora mi amigo puede jugar a Shadespire como Khorne manda. Lo malo es que ahora quiero una banda para mi...

And this is the band! Now my friend can play to Shadespire like a good Khorne follower. But now I want my own band...

Warhammer Underworlds: Campeones de Steelheart

¡Saludos a todos!

Además de los civiles imperiales también he hecho alguna partida a Warhammer Underworlds. Un amigo mío se compró la caja básica y la estuvimos probando. 

Hey there! In addition to the imperial civilians I have also done some game to Warhammer Underworlds. A friend of mine bought the basic box and we were testing it.

El juego es bastante rápido de aprender y jugar, pero hechas un par de partidas tuve que decir a mi colega que esto no podía seguir: no podíamos seguir jugando sin las miniaturas pintadas. Así que nos partimos las bandas y nos pusimos a trabajar. A mí me tocó la banda de los Campeones de Steelheart, que os presento aquí:

The game is quite fast to learn and play, but after a couple of games I had to tell my friend that this couldn't continue: we couldn't continue playing with unpainted miniatures. So we split the bands and start working. I had Steelheart's Champions band, which I present here:

Hay que decir que las miniaturas son muy agradecidas de pintar y con unos cuantos detalles que las hacen bastante interesantes. Aunque no soy muy fan de los Stormcasts, debo reconocer que me lo pasé muy bien pintándolos.

I have to admit that this miniatures are so grateful to paint and with a few details that make them quite interesting. Although I am not a fan of Stormcasts, I had a great time painting them.

Después de esta colaboración con mi amigo, es probable que compre algunas bandas del juego: son proyectos pequeñitos, por lo que es difícil cansarse con ellos, y además tengo ganas de ver las diferencias que presentan en el tablero. Si tenéis alguna entre manos sin pintar dadle una oportunidad: las partidas ganan enteros con las miniaturas pintadas!

After this collaboration with my friend, I'm probably gona buy some bands: they are tiny projects, so it's hard to get tired of them, and I also want to see the differences they present on the board. If you have some unpainted hands give them a chance: the games are much better with painted miniatures!

Retomando la actividad: Noh 1

Hace una eternidad que no publico nada, y viendo que el blog también está bastante parado creo que es momento de darle un empujón. Hoy os traigo un civil imperial más.

Greetings to all! I haven't published since ages ago, and seeing that the blog is also quite stopped I think it's time to give it a push. Today I bring you another imperial civilian.

Se trata de Noh 1, un civil que puede hacer las veces de contrabandista, terrorista o... un simple ciudadano anónimo. Porque en el despiadado universo del futuro también hay gente con vidas anodinas.

This is Noh 1, a civilian who can act as smuggler, terrorist or ... a simple anonymous citizen. Because in the merciless universe of the future there are also people with anodyne lives.

Está hecho con restos de multitud de miniaturas, pero creo que refleja bastante bien lo dura y miserable que puede ser la existencia para un simple ciudadano del Imperio de la humanidad...

It is made with the pieces of many miniatures, but I think it reflects quite well how hard and miserable can be for a simple citizen living on the Empire of humanity ...

Noh 1 lleva su pesada carga intentando pasar desapercibido.
En la ciudad colmena más vale no llamar mucho la atención...

Sentinel Catachan

Bienvenidos de nuevo!

Soy Richo y hoy os enseño los sentinels de catachan que he preparado.

Mi ejercito de catachan no tiene muchos vehículos de orugas debido al trasfondo al ser tropas de jungla y me centro mas en infantería y bipodes o vehículos todo terreno.

El sentinel es de los vehiculos que mas me gustan de mi ejercito de catachan, junto con los Taurox de ForgeWorld y los rougthRiders que tengo en el taller de xapa y pintura.

Los sentinels los he pintado con aerografo (la capa base) son mis primeras minis de aero y no tenia mucha complicación, a ver si en un futuro puedo publicar alguna mini mas elaborada con aero.

Con las mudanzas perdí las partes superiores de mis sentinels y una sierra... :__( me toco improvisar un toldo con el hierro de los clips como estructura y con gasas para hacer el toldo, no es una obra de arte, pero hace la función.
