Warhammer 40.000 Conquest: Primaris Tácticos

Como recordaréis, cuando salió el primer fascículo de Warhammer Conquest no tenía claro qué capítulo quería coleccionar. De modo que compré 2 ejemplares, uno para hacer las pruebas que os enseñé y otro para pintarlo de los colores del capítulo escogido. Hoy os traigo este segundo:

Hey there! As you'll remember, when Warhammer Conquest came out I didn't know which Space Marines Chapter I wanted to collect. So I bought 2 copies, one to do the tests I've showed you, and an other one to paint with the chapters colors. Today I'm showing the second one:

Hay poco que decir de estos tres marines: tienen el pintado básico que vimos con los Reivers. El único cambio que hay respecto a los originales es la cabeza del Teniente Calsius. Me gustaría imprimir un carácter más griego a este capítulo, y por ello me cuadra más este peinado que no el corte tan recto de la matriz. Además no he hecho el símbolo del capítulo porque quiero hacer algunos experimentos con calcomanías. Os mantendré informados...

There is not much to say about these space marines: they have the same painting sheme that you could see with Reivers. The only change with the originals is the Liutenant Calsius head. I'd like to have a chapter with a greek nature, so this head fit much better than the first one. Apart from that I didn't painted the chapter emblem because I want to do some decal experiments. I'll keep you in touch...

Mordheim - Banda de Poseídos (5 y final)

Hoy hago un paréntesis en los fascículos, porque quiero mostraros las últimas miniaturas de una banda de Mordheim que empecé hace más de tres años: los Poseídos. 

Hey there! Today I'm doing a break with Conquest issues, because I want to show you the last models of a Mordheim band that I started more than three years ago: the Possessed. 

Después de pintar los poxwalkers me di cuenta que por fin había encontrado un todo de piel que me convencía para estos adoradores de los dioses oscuros, así que no quise esperar y me puse a pintar los 8 modelos que me faltaban. Los primeros que os muestro son los "hombres bestia". Como expliqué en su día, la idea de esconder hombres bestia en un culto urbano no me terminaba de convencer, por eso reimaginé estos seres como personas anormalmente fuertes que actúan como guardaespaldas del magister. 

After finishing poxwalkers I realised that finally I had found a skintone that convinced me to painting this dark gods worshippers, so I started to paint the 8 models that I needed to finish the band. The firsts ones are my own "beastmen". As I explained before, I don't like the idea of hiding these creatures into an urban cult, so I imagined that they could be unnaturally strong people that protect the magister in the battle. 

Después tenemos a los mutantes. Quería ponerles a ambos la mutación de cola de escorpión, pero como los Dioses del Caos son imprevisibles imaginé otra clase de apéndice para el segundo...

Then we have the mutants. I wanted both of them with scorpion tale mutation, but because Dark Gods are unpredictable I created another kind of appendix for the second one...

Los poseídos son los protagonistas de a la banda. Mientras que uno intenta parecerse al modelo original de la banda, el segundo nos muestra el momento justo en que el demonio hace su entrada en el plano material. 

The possessed are main characters of the warband. The first one has been thought to be similar to the original possessed, but the second one shows us the exact moment when the daemon enters in the material world.

El último modelo es el magíster. Es la única miniatura que no tiene ninguna conversión, porque se trata de Huth'Nke una miniatura clásica de Hechicero del Caos que me ha gustado siempre. 

Last model is the magister. It's the only miniature that I haven't converted because is Huth'Nke, a classic Chaos Sorcerer that always loved. 

 ¡Y eso es todo! Con estos ocho modelos por fin tengo la banda de Poseídos al completo... Si es que eso puede decirse alguna vez...

And that's all! With this 8 models finally I have a complete Possessed warband... If this can be said anytime...

Warhammer 40.000 Conquest: Poxwalkers

Hoy quiero mostraros el resultado del cuarto fascículo de Warhammer 40.000 Conquest: los Poxwalkers. 

Hey there! Today I want to show you the result of the 4th Warhammer 40.000 Conquest issue: Poxwalkers.

Tengo sentimientos encontrados con estas figuras: aunque son divertidas de pintar no les encuentro demasiado sentido (ya, ya sé que un marine espacial con dos corazones y varias cajas torácicas tampoco lo tiene, pero creo que ya me entendéis). Y por otra parte, ¿de verdad tenemos que mantener los taparrabos como prenda de vestir en el 41 milenio? Es decir: ¿máscaras antigas y taparrabos? ¿En serio?

I have mixed feelings with these miniatures: although they are fun to paint I find them quite... nonsense (ok, I know that a space marine with two hearts and lots of other organs does not have it either, but you know what I mean). And on the other hand, do we really have to keep loincloths as a cloth in the 41st millennium? Is it necessary, for a poxwalker, wear a gasmask and loincloth? Seriously?

Pero, como digo, son divertidas de pintar, y me han permitido usar colores que no toco normalmente.

But as I said, they're fun to paint, and they allowed me to use colours that I normally don't use.
